Hello, my name is Richard Ford and I go to San Antonio Beauty College Naco Perrin. I have been going to school since January of 2008 and have gone thru the ups and downs of having to learn some things. The staff here has really be very helpful and patience with me on my journey. I am very happy that I chose to come to school at SABC as this school has started my career in life. When I finish school I have job offers from some of my clients. It has inspired me by watching the students learn through example, there is rarely or never an instructor absent and they are always busy, that makes a lot of difference when you have to address absenteeism, and the education is also a big difference, I always see the continuance education going on and that’s for everybody. That in itself speaks a lot.

Hello my name is Cynthia Saucedo:
I have been in the beauty industry for 10 years now. I can assure you that this would not have been possible if it were not for UCAS. I had not yet graduated from high school when I came to inquire about enrolling here. I was given the opportunity to sit down and have an enrollment assessment done to evaluate my career choice. I was impressed by the staff and educators at the location and decided that the prestige that I had heard of UCAS was no lie. I could not wait until for day that I was to graduate from high school so that I could get started with my career. All of my expectations were met in my training and education in the cosmetology field but my journey did not stop there. I worked in the industry for about two in a half years when I decided to enroll for the instructor course. Since I had been a graduate of UCAS I was granted a scholarship in which allowed me to fully focus on the next part of my dream to be an educator. Since then I have been with UCAS and I am still evolving in the latest trends and most up to date technology that the industry has to offer. I have been blessed to be a part of this company because I have obtained knowledge that would have only been possible by investing and traveling to different parts of the world. UCAS has given me the opportunity to continue growing since I am currently and proudly the Executive Director of the McAllen campus. My name is Johnny Flores, I’m a licensed cosmetologist who graduated from this institution and plan to Teach here very soon. My experience with The University of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences has been nothing but great. Everyone within the walls of this institution are amazing people & are ready and willing to help out anyone and everyone, especially new comers Like yourselves. If you love beauty and being stylish all the time UCAS is the place to be. UCAS has inspired me to be better everyday and learn new things. UCAS has also taught me to strive for the best, not to look back and continue forward.
Because of UCAS I had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the 9th annual hair show, Cutting Edge. In which I unfortunately did not place, but guess what I still stand proud and strong. You may ask yourself why?….Well because I do not need a piece of paper or trophy to demonstrate to others that I am good because I know I am better than good. I am great. This hair show has brought me lots of recognition in the long run because out in the street people tell me, “oh you were the one that did the animal print hair on the model.” I answer, “Yes!” They tell me, “oh it was great, you should have placed.” This hair show was a great experience for me . One can learn a lot from a hair show. If you ever get the opportunity to participate or attend in a hair show I would recommend you be the first one to sign up. Let me give you a piece of advice, Don’t give up, Look forward, and do not let other people make you feel less than you are. Show them what you are capable of accomplishing.
UCAS is a great school to attend and obtain the education needed to make others look and feel beautiful about themselves. Because of my interest in skin care and anti-aging procedures, I decided to go back to school and become a Licensed Esthetician. There are many reasons why I chose to attend the University of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences.
First and foremost, I knew that I was going to need financial assistance. The Financial Aide staff was ready and willing to assist me with all my questions and concerns. The entire application process was quick and acceptable. The Admission Department made the application process quick and easy too. Most importantly, the Esthetics Program was phenomenal.
The instructor was extremely knowledgeable. During my time in school, I was able to perform esthetic procedures with confidence because of the superior techniques she demonstrated. Also, I was very impressed with UCAS because they were ALWAYS in compliance with the state of Texas. With the help of the staff at UCAS, I was able to complete the required curriculum and AWESOME training.
Since graduation, I’ve had steady communication with the placement department regarding employment opportunities. Now, three months post graduation, I am a Licensed Esthetician working with a very reputable Plastic Surgeon. Under my scope of practice, my ultimate goal has been achieved. Along with my persistence, UCAS helped me find my new career.

My journey in this industry started very early in my life. Being the daughter of a cosmetologist, I was surrounded by the essence of beauty every hour of my day. I had always dreamed of pursuing a career in this industry and at the first opportunity that was presented to me I took it.
My elective of choice during my senior and junior year of high school was Cosmetology. This allowed me to obtain all of the required training and knowledge that was needed so that I could successfully pass the TDLR required examinations. I was ready to work in the industry once I acquired my Cosmetology License while a senior in high school. I immediately went to work in the industry for two years when I decided that my next goal in life was to become a licensed instructor.
Having proudly graduated from UCAS, my mom encouraged me to enroll in the Instructors Course. My mom always talked so highly of her educators during her time her as a student that I decided to see for myself what UCAS was all about. Shortly after I began the instructor’s course I realized that my mom was right. UCAS is an outstanding university with extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and intelligent educators as well as administrators. Have successfully completed the instructor’s course and obtaining my Instructors License, I was anxious to begin teaching.
I was offered a wonderful teaching position with UCAS and I graciously accepted, thus beginning my teaching career with them. As an educator for UCAS I have had the privilege of teaching the Cosmetology, Manicuring, & Esthetics courses. Each of these courses has continued to make me grow as an individual and educator. I’ve had the opportunity to make lasting impressions on future Cosmetology Professionals. Join me, In making the World more Beautiful one person at a time.

When I first decided to become a Nail Technician, UCAS, made it easy for me to find out the facts and enroll to become a student. Becoming a Nail Technician is not just about tips with overlay. Here at UCAS you also find your life long friends that are by your side every step of the way.

Al principio fue una decisión difícil soy esposa y madre de 2 niños gracias a los consejos de una amiga tome la decisión, me envolví en el programa y empezó la diversión, gracias a las instructoras pude salir con la confianza en mi y empecé a realizar mis metas, en esta industria aprendes a tener una vida al 100% ocupada yo amo mi carrera he ido a diferentes hair shows he hecho nuevas amistades una de mis grandes experiencias fue haber con vivido en un hair show con el actor y cantante mexicano Pablo Montero. Ahora tengo la invitación de trabajar alrededor de los estados unidos en una obra de teatro maquillando a los artistas. Esto es lo que he realizado en mi corta carrera de 6 meses me siento lista y capas de enfrentar cualquier reto gracias a la experiencia y ayuda de mis instructoras que tuve en UCAS. Because of my interest in skin care and anti-aging procedures, I decided to go back to school and become a Licensed Esthetician. There are many reasons why I chose to attend the University of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences.
First and foremost, I knew that I was going to need financial assistance. The Financial Aide staff was ready and willing to assist me with all my questions and concerns. The entire application process was quick and acceptable. The Admission Department made the application process quick and easy too. Most importantly, the Esthetics Program was phenomenal.
The instructor was extremely knowledgeable. During my time in school, I was able to perform esthetic procedures with confidence because of the superior techniques she demonstrated. Also, I was very impressed with UCAS because they were ALWAYS in compliance with the state of Texas. With the help of the staff at UCAS, I was able to complete the required curriculum and AWESOME training.
Since graduation, I’ve had steady communication with the placement department regarding employment opportunities. Now, three months post graduation, I am a Licensed Esthetician working with a very reputable Plastic Surgeon. Under my scope of practice, my ultimate goal has been achieved. Along with my persistence, UCAS helped me find my new career.

My journey in this industry started very early in my life. Being the daughter of a cosmetologist, I was surrounded by the essence of beauty every hour of my day. I had always dreamed of pursuing a career in this industry and at the first opportunity that was presented to me I took it.
My elective of choice during my senior and junior year of high school was Cosmetology. This allowed me to obtain all of the required training and knowledge that was needed so that I could successfully pass the TDLR required examinations. I was ready to work in the industry once I acquired my Cosmetology License while a senior in high school. I immediately went to work in the industry for two years when I decided that my next goal in life was to become a licensed instructor.
Having proudly graduated from UCAS, my mom encouraged me to enroll in the Instructors Course. My mom always talked so highly of her educators during her time her as a student that I decided to see for myself what UCAS was all about. Shortly after I began the instructor’s course I realized that my mom was right. UCAS is an outstanding university with extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and intelligent educators as well as administrators. Have successfully completed the instructor’s course and obtaining my Instructors License, I was anxious to begin teaching.
I was offered a wonderful teaching position with UCAS and I graciously accepted, thus beginning my teaching career with them. As an educator for UCAS I have had the privilege of teaching the Cosmetology, Manicuring, & Esthetics courses. Each of these courses has continued to make me grow as an individual and educator. I’ve had the opportunity to make lasting impressions on future Cosmetology Professionals. Join me, In making the World more Beautiful one person at a time.

Estoy muy agradecida con la vida y con Dios por tener el privilegio de vivir esta etapa de mi vida que es, estodiar Cosmetolgia en la mejor escuela que hay UCAS ! Para mi es la mejor escuela! Porque me he superado como mujer, persona, ser humano, y profesional y he tenido las mejores maestras. He aprendido mucho de ellas. Todo lo que me han ensenado le he aprovechado al maximo. Cosas que yo ignoraba y que por mi mente nunca imagine que existian ahora las se.
Estoy muy contenta con mi escuela UCAS y con mis maestras y he aprovechado todas sus ensenanzas. La major experiencia que tengo y me llena de gozo es que me gusta ayudar a las personas cuando les hago un servicio, como un corte o un color en el cabello y se les nota la transformacion del antes y el despues, y el mejor pago que tengo es verlas felices .

When I first decided to become a Nail Technician, UCAS, made it easy for me to find out the facts and enroll to become a student. Becoming a Nail Technician is not just about tips with overlay. UCAS has an exceptional staff that goes the extra mile in helping you learn the ways of the law and succeeding in your goals. Here at UCAS you also find your life long friends that are by your side every step of the way.
My experience here has helped me to successfully provide clients with quality performance and unique satisfactory results. To where you create a bond with clients and once you graduate they become your customers following you where ever you go.
Getting my education here at UCAS has been a fun filled experience and if I had to do it all again I would not a change a thing.

En esta carta voy a contra como me ayudo ir a UCAS para realizar mis metas. Al principio fue una decisión difícil soy esposa y madre de 2 niños gracias a los consejos de una amiga tome la decisión, me envolví en el programa y empezó la diversión, gracias a las instructoras pude salir con la confianza en mi y empecé a realizar mis metas, en esta industria aprendes a tener una vida al 100% ocupada yo amo mi carrera he ido a diferentes hair shows he hecho nuevas amistades una de mis grandes experiencias fue haber con vivido en un hair show con el actor y cantante mexicano Pablo Montero. Ahora tengo la invitación de trabajar alrededor de los estados unidos en una obra de teatro maquillando a los artistas. Esto es lo que he realizado en mi corta carrera de 6 meses me siento lista y capas de enfrentar cualquier reto gracias a la experiencia y ayuda de mis instructoras que tuve en UCAS. Ahora quiero tener un poco de tranquilidad tengo un trabajo en Golden Palms Salon, estoy encargada de nail tech y sigo estilizando pelo mi vida laboral a sido mas divertida y cada mañana que voy a mi trabajo se que sola mente me boy a divertir porque amo mi carrera.

My experience working for UCAS has been both educational and structured. As while some experiences have disappointed me but with my positive attitude I look back and feel the only way to be a better educator is to learn from mishaps. I have been with UCAS since 1992. I have also been with other companies and have had the ability to see life on the other end. I have returned and am very pleased to say that UCAS has given me the best opportunity for my Instructors ability. I have had the privilege to teach all classes and am always ready for a challenge.
